Tell me a little bit about yourself and how you became a photographer?

I’ve always been a very fun, outgoing person but funnily enough I like my comforts too. I believe life is about following intuition and embracing the very thing that ignites your talents. During the pandemic, I decided to use my time wisely. I gained experience in the creative industry which led me to my very own photography business where I worked amongst fashion, styling, communications and explored the media avenue. I have worked with well-respected people in the media simply by using my voice.

Did you know what you wanted to do as a child?

When I was a child, I would always love to be in the spotlight but sometimes I would feel embarrassed because I felt different to others around me. I always looked older and stood out from the crowd, so I didn’t know if this was good or bad. I knew I had creative talents, and I was always told I’d end up being on stage or television which does have some connection to the journey I’m currently on.

Is there a type of photography or something you like to photograph the most?

I love photography in general, but I love capturing the essence of an individual. I also like capturing beautifully quirky faces because I find them fascinating! I love fashion but throughout the years of growing up, I found that there’s a specific concept of beauty. But where some have tunnel vision, I have learnt to find everybody’s strengths by seeing the beauty in all.

What is your favourite part of your job?

My favourite part of the job is being able to connect with so many amazing people, we’ve all been through a difficult journey yet were all fighting for what we love.

What is the toughest part of your job?

The toughest part of the job is being overbooked, I had bookings every day for a week in December and although this is amazing, I learnt I need to space my clients out to perform my best and have more time for the editing process as I edit my own images.

Is there anything you suggest for people trying to do what you do?

I think if you have any ideas with photography, take your camera out and start creating. You need to learn the basics first and then you’ll find the rest with the school of life.

How has Covid been? How has it impacted you? Whether it be career wise or personally?

Covid has been a time of self-reflection. Before Covid I was struggling mentally because of a draining relationship, so coming away from that and entering isolation felt really sad. I’ve struggled with anxiety through times of Covid more than ever, but through routine including exercise, yoga and being present, this made many days much more enjoyable. We were all designed to have a meaning and when we’re doing nothing, we start to feel stuck and it’s really easy to fall into that dark hole. I also think it's been a time for renewal, I removed toxic energy from my life. In a way, I'm glad I experienced all this at a young age because between the pandemic and a harsh realisation, I became a much stronger person.  Career wise it's been the best year of my life through understanding where I need to be putting my creative energy.

If you could go anywhere at all where would it be and why?

I’ve been dreaming of a trip to Tuscany, Italy. Just to see Italy at its finest, see the views, eat all the amazing foods and possibly a well-being retreat to recover after a difficult year and connect with myself more.

Favourite Place in the world/your happy place?

Definitely Home, Home to me is where my mum is.. we’re best friends! She always manages to make everything better. My mum has been my lockdown buddy the past year, the combination of both her patience and calmness couldn’t make me think of a better place to be.

What are your favourite activities?

I LOVE cardio, exercise is my most favourite activity since it makes me feel alive and the benefits my body has from it makes me want to go back to it again and again. I also love walks in the countryside, Cosy dinner outings and a little luxury shopping here and there.

What is something you do to relax/care for yourself?

I find yoga, meditation, hot baths, essential oils and skincare are my go-to when I need self-care. Also, self-affirmations that I am young, healthy, and blessed make me feel reassured whenever I feel I'm judgmental to myself or feelings.

What is one piece of advice you’d give someone on entering 2021?

I would say enjoy being in the present because that’s where attention needs to be before expanding into any futuristic ideas and plans. Also, by being present it makes the future more certain.

What is the one piece of advice you’d give yourself on entering 2021?

To go where there is happiness, also to embrace challenges instead of finding flaws.

What’s next on your journey? Any Goals you’re focusing on?

I’m going to be studying the next few years developing my skills in fashion, film and television. Whilst Photography is my job it’s only one part of me. I do believe that when you’re young, opportunities are endless and if you want to be a leading lady you have to explore life before you settle. Whilst you’re great at one thing, you could be even better at something else.
